Santana - Soul Sacrifice - Live at Woodstock

"Soul Sacrifice" is an instrumental composed and recorded by the American rock group Santana. Identified as one of the highlights of the 1969 Woodstock festival and documentary film, "Soul Sacrifice" features extended guitar passages by Carlos Santana and a percussion section with a solo by drummer Michael Shrieve. It is included as the final track on their 1969 debut album, Santana, and on several live and compilation albums. The studio and Woodstock versions as well as an alternate take are included on the 2004 25th anniversary of Santana.

Santana brought the Latin Rock Fusion to Woodstock. They started at 2:00 pm on Saturday, the 16th. Relatively unknown for the audience, Santana hit the nerve of the party crowd quite well.
