AC/DC - "The Jack" Live (Celebrating the 40th anniversary of their iconic album Highway to Hell)

It's been 40 years since iconic Australian rock band AC/DC released their platinum selling album 'Highway to Hell'. It was the band's fifth studio album released internationally and the sixth to be released in Australia. It was the last album featuring lead singer Bon Scott, who died early the following year on 19 February 1980.

AC/DC are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their landmark album Highway to Hell by posting archival videos from their July 13th, 1979 appearance on the Dutch TV show Countdown on their official Youtube channel. The group has unveiled “Highway to Hell,” followed by “The Jack” on July 24th and “Whole Lotta Rosie” on July 31st. The clips were previously released on the group’s 2007 Plug Me In DVD box set, but it’s their first time they’ll appear online.

Now, following the release of clips of ‘Highway To Hell’ and ‘The Jack’ from the Netherlands’ Countdown in 1979, AC/DC celebrate 40th anniversary of ‘Highway To Hell’ with documentary footage, the band have shared behind the scenes footage of the record’s creation, with the Roadmap Of Highway To Hell serving as essential viewing for fans and admirers alike.
